We are dedicated to ensuring that our work and continuous knowledge creation has an impact beyond our own research. Outside of the lab, our scientists serve on a number of funding committees, education programs, editorial boards, and advisory groups, and interact with patient groups in order to develop a shared understanding of our research and how that may influence and improve patient care and outcome.

In addition, educating the next generation of scientists, and other talents, is a key part of our work. For this purpose, EBVDT members actively engage in school programs, including giving lectures for secondary school kids (Kids University of Groningen) and for high school students (Scholierenacademie RUG) as well as other outreach activities.
